Filter Validity

Filters in Jira may become broken if the related entity (i. e. custom field) is renamed or not available anymore. Such an error can cause problems with agile boards and reports.

The app keeps all invalid filters in a separate tab for your convenience:

Also, you can validate any filter to check if it works or returns an error by clicking Validate in the filter actions menu.

The following are the examples of validation results (for valid and invalid filters). For a valid filter, you will see the pop-up that disappears automatically. For an invalid filter, you will see the pop-up with the message describing the reason for the filter invalidity. Such messages won't disappear automatically to allow you to investigate the problem.
